on February 6th, 2014 my physical science class to the museum of science to learn about motion and energy. we went to the fantastic forces show we saw experiments that proved newtons law of motion. "an object at motion will stay at motion until a object or force acts against it". in this case, when the lady doing to experiment the cup she slid on the ground reacted to friction. when the women was trying to jam a pencil through the block of wood the pencil would not penetrate it. then the women put the pencil in a pencil gun and the pencil penetrated it because there was more force.
BOBSLED ACTIVITY
to design the bobsled we had to chose what we wanted the design of the sled to be and what materials we needed. more friction of the sled would cause it to go slower. therefore we put two straws on the bottom of the sled. the slick base of the straws would make for a much faster ride. the weight of the batteries made the sled go faster due to the gravity acting upon it.
