scientific observations- skills lab 1

proper scientific technique requires observations to make conclusions.

-we put 150 ml of water into a beaker
-after we measured the temperature with a thermometer and it read 20 degrees celcius
-we were received a spoon full of copper cloride and put it on a paper towel
-the copper chloride appeared to be a crystaly blue color
-we put the crystals in the water and they sunk to the bottom and turned a greenish color
-the top of the water was still clear
-after putting the crystals in the water the temperature dropped to 18 degrees celcius
-while stirring mixture the chloride dissapeard and turned to blue
-we got a strip of tin foil 1.5 cm by 15 cm long and put it in the mixture
-the mixture became cloudy blue after we put the foil in the mixture
-the foil started to come apart and it looked as if it was rusting
-we could see the bits of aluminum coming off the stripn
-the temperature went down one degree after the aluminum was put in
-we got the water the next day and it became a flakey blue color
-we mixed it and it became a powdery purple grayish color
-after we flitered the water through the flask the water became blue again
